A global law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Employment Litigation Associate with a minimum of 3-6 years of experience to join its Woodland Hills office.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in employment litigation and demonstrated experience handling employment-related matters in California courts. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of substantive litigation responsibilities while working collaboratively with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced, high-quality practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft and respond to written discovery and initial pleadings
• Prepare, argue, and oppose motions, including dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage California employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Handle wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA claims (preferred)
• Effectively manage multiple matters while meeting deadlines
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-6 years of employment or complex litigation experience
• Strong preference for experience in California wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA cases
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active admission to the California Bar (required)
